Corona Statistics for the world, France, Germany and Israel

Pandemic statistics

What's going on?

The coronavirus pandemic is slowly reaching its final end. You can see that on the completeness of the pandemic. Worldwide, the pandemic is 75% completed. That percentage is the average of all countries reporting corona cases.

What does that mean, the completeness percentage?

The number of cases is the number about people who were infected. For example worldwide, this number was yesterday 45.9 million cases or people once infected. From this number, 33.2 million were recovered and 1.2 million died. That means 1.2 million are currently still infected with the coronavirus and that means  75% of all corona cases are not infected anymore.

When there are no new infections anymore, nor any death and recoveries, the completeness will be 100%; the pandemic has ended in that case.

Why discussing particular the countries France, Germany and Israel?

France and Germany are currently in the news and both countries have plans for a lockdown. Israel is included, because that country is already under a corona lockdown for 46 days!

It's interesting to see (and to compare) the performance of the corona-battle from our governments. And it's also interesting to see where and how the corona battles are not doing well by the governments in countries like France and Germany. And the main reason is not the increase of new infections only. In France for example that's the least reason, because they have terrible numbers about the recovery numbers or they don't report them completely.

Is the Corona pandemic worth all the attention?

You tell me. It's a disease, which covered 0.59% of the total world population. Currently, 0.15% are still infected at the moment of writing.

To give you an indication and compare those numbers with influenza. Yearly, influenza covers 45.40% of the world population. Yearly, 1% of the world population dies because of suicide. 3.27% of the world population dies because of pneumonia.

Mortality because Influenza Mortality because suicide Mortality because pneumonia Mortality because corona
0.07% 1% 3.27% 1.53%

During lockdowns, this percentage is up to 4.31%! More people die because of suicide than Corona.

All pandemics in the past are finished because of natural infections. During those pandemics, the herd immunity because so high, that the virus infections "burned out". There were no vaccines to stop the pandemics, except the last ones. But those were not effective (20%-50% effectiveness, and 3% death because of vaccines).

It's vert likely that this will be the same as with the Corona and vaccines developed against Corona.

Israeli lockdown

Israel is under lockdown for already 46 days. A good overall overview what the Israeli corona closure meant for the pandemic in that country:

Compare increases of infections, mortalities and recoveries
Compare increases of infections, mortalities and recoveries

As you notice in the above chart, all increases in Israel are daily decreases (all of them are under the 0%). Because of that, this leads to the completeness of 96.38%!

The impact of the lockdown in Israel can be displayed in series of charts too:

Compare increases of mortalities during lockdown
Compare increases of mortalities during lockdown
Compare increases of infections during lockdown
Compare increases of infections during lockdown
Compare increases of recoveries during lockdown
Compare increases of recoveries during lockdown

The the above charts you see what the lockdown gave different increases/decreases than the expected increases or decreases. One thing you can notice is that the numbers during the lockdown are more stable.

The lockdown in Israel can't be more visible when you compare the increases of the cases in Germany and Israel. Hre is the chart:

Increases of the cases in Germany and Israel
Increases of the cases in Germany and Israel

As you can see, the time that Israel is in the lockdown, the cases in Germany peak.

Increase of infections at France, Germany and Israel

Increase of infections at France, Germany and Israel
Increase of infections at France, Germany and Israel

As you can see at the above chart, the numbers in France decreased to almost 900% in June/July. This is an obvious mistake in the reporting.

You can see more, when you display the increases of the pandemic, the recoveries and mortalities together:

Recoveries, Infections and mortality in France
Recoveries, Infections and mortality in France

The recoveries and infections went mysteriously down the second half of june.
Also France doesn't report any corona statistics in the weekend (Saturday and Sunday). The add the numbers from the weekend at the Sunday (assuming they do).

More chaos in the reporting of the France pandemic data is here to see in the recoveries:

Overview of Corona in France

In the above chart you see a strong increase of infections, but the recoveries are way down (too less people declared as recovered). Only because of that reason the completeness percentage of France is so low (one of the lowest in the world) (11.49%!).

The corona differences between France and Germany is very clear:

I hope for France that the reporting of their pandemic data is defect, wrong or totally done by impotent people. Because the alternative is problematic.

Hotspots

France, Germany and Israel have one thing in common. The so called hotspots. That's the name they use to indicate a location with a high concentration of coronavirus infections.

In Israel, the hotspots are easy to find at the locations where the Jewish Orthodox people and Israeli Muslims live.

In France it's similar, except that there are many no-go areas in France (near and in the big cities) with an absolute majority of people coming from the Middle East and Africa and a majority are Muslims. Further most areas, where people live in small places and in poverty.

In Germany, similar as in France, except that their the focus is at locations with a high density of Muslims and immigrants from all over the world, like Middle East, Asia and Africa.

In France, many Muslim communities, do not associate themselves with the France state and the French state. They refuse in principle to do what the French authorities advises or orders. Further the extreme religious people have similar opinions, except that they give priority to their religion and for them there is nothing else important.

Each country is different

Each country (and within the country, many regions, communities and cities as well) is different with different demographics, origins and histories. Each part of those communities have different employment, education, income, marriage rates, birth and death rates, religions, and ethnicities. You can, without any problem, state that each community is unique by itself.

In the history of pandemics in the world, many of such communities were totally wiped out. The main reason was that many of the extinct communities lived closely together and had an active social live with each other. With pandemics, those communities will be the fastest infected, and depending on the lethality of the virus, are under risk to be wiped out (again).
