Thanks to Mr. Trump’s outrageous, amusing, irritating, depressive, aggressive, interesting, hurtful, dangerous, thoughtful statements the past weeks, things changed dramatically. The focus of the elections suddenly was focused on something what the American public was interested in (instead of those of the candidates). Also Trump hit it spot on; the American public is worried about the rising threat of terrorists. And that triggered worldwide and national condemnation, the Obama administration suppressing evidence and forcefully interfering in running investigations, hate speech and curses from celebrities, politicians, public officials, leaders from all over the world and in the US targeting a candidate for the presidential elections. It also becomes clear that the world trend towards political extreme right also runs in America.
Democratic Party (United States)
A real media storm is raging all over America and it reached the world too. Especially the UK is quite vicious in their language. If you read those newspapers and “all the people in the world”, including those in America, you would say that Donald Trump has said something very wrong (and that’s an understatement). Everyone seems to be convinced that the man is worse then a criminal, a racist, he’s worse then Voldemort, a figure from the Harry Potter universe. Is it worse than bad, is he evil and the rhetoric goes on and on. But suddenly there is a poll, which tells what the US voters are thinking. Those, who are in charge of those leaders in office!
According the history of the US, no. He doesn’t. It’s getting worse, the United States of America had several laws created banning certain groups of people coming or immigrating to the United States. For example, in 1917, the entry was banned to the US for undesirables banned from entering the country, including but not limited to “homosexuals”, “idiots”, “feeble-minded persons”, “criminals”, “epileptics”, “insane persons”, alcoholics, “professional beggars”, all persons “mentally or physically defective”, polygamists, and anarchists. In 1924, the US severely restricted the immigration of Africans and outright banned the immigration of Arabs and Asians. So, what’s so different then what Trumps stated? And what’s so un-American on what Trump is saying?
The United States presidential election of 2016, scheduled for Tuesday, November 8, 2016, will be the 58th quadrennial U.S. presidential election. Voters will select presidential electors who in turn will elect a new president and vice president through the Electoral College. Here we can vote for our candidates, if you’re an American citizen or not, you still can vote here.
